David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails get “Hurt”

David Bowie one of the best live collaborations has got to be and Nine Inch Nails’ co-headlining tour in 1995. From both artists each date included a full set, beautifully bridged together when Bowie and his band mates appeared from the surrounding darkness to join NIN in a dynamite moment in music history. All in support of Bowie’s Outside and NIN’s The Downward Spiral, the epic tour wrapped around the states and also featured both artists covering an assortment of Bowie and NIN songs.
You’d think a performance as epic as this would have been properly recorded. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. Well, until now that is.
For years fans have been searching frantically for high quality footage from the trek and now, they can finally be satisfied. Per the NIN Hotline and 24B, quality footage of the Bowie/NIN tour was recently added to Vimeo by David Williams and is now available for streaming!
Below you’ll find just one of four pro shot clips from the tour. It’s a beautiful and serene cover of NIN’s “Hurt”, that’s magnificently shot and features some wonderful close ups of Trent Reznor sweating like a pig and singing his heart out, never ceasing to smile. So hurry up and start watching kiddies. This is definitely something you don’t want to miss!
